john s. lathram lll/ artworks/

As you browse through my pages, I hope you will gain a little more insight as to my creative process and evolution. My work has been shown in the U.S. and abroad under excellent reviews. In 2010 my solo photography exhibit, The "Ladies" of Ohio was named one of the ten best Art events in Columbus, and was a result of my very first published photo essay about the female illusion culture in central Ohio.

My creative process has not always been about photography though. Prior to settling down with this form of expression, I painted (glass and canvas) and worked in robotic  sculpture installations. For a number of years I was a teaching assistant in grad school and an adjunct professor as well.

In 2015 I was approached by the Central Ohio Transit Authority to create a body of work for the new CMAX bus platforms that now adorn Cleveland Avenue from Hudson Street to Oakland Park in Columbus Ohio. This project was a nearly two year process of taking photos and research the historical community of Linden.

I am a community minded individual. I currently (2018) serve as Vice-chairman of the North Linden Area Commission. I am one of the cofounders of the North Linden Community Block Watch and the Cleveland Avenue Anti-Human Trafficking Initiative.
